Although the name lends the idea that the band is a black eye, a bruise and Andrew W.K rolled into one, Tough Guys Take Over is nothing of the sort. A product of their many influences, Tough Guys Take Over is as hard to classify genre-wise as Ben Folds, but everyone can relate to songs like the title track of their new E.P SHYAWAY, which is about a scene kid looking forward to the encore of a show. A girl catches his eye at the height of the show as he pushes through a crowd of electric people focused elsewhere to engage her. He never has his say ultimately because he "shys away" from first contact.
